Questions & answers

Glass Pool Fencing FAQs

Is glass actually safe around children?

Yes — it is toughened safety glass, the same category used in car windows and shower screens, and it meets the same pool barrier code as mesh or aluminum. It is also completely unclimbable: there is nothing to grip. As with any barrier, it supplements adult supervision rather than replacing it.

What does glass pool fencing cost?

Considerably more than mesh — typically $150–$400 per linear foot depending on panel size, spigot style, and how many gates you need. That is the honest range. If the budget is tight we will tell you plainly that mesh gets you the same code compliance for a fraction of it.

Will it show every water spot?

Glass does show spotting, particularly in hard-water areas. A quick wipe-down handles it, and we can apply a hydrophobic coating that makes maintenance considerably easier. We'd rather you know this before you buy than after.

How long does it take?

Panels are made to your measurements, so there is a lead time between the measure and the install. The install itself is usually one day for a standard residential run, two for large or complex perimeters.
